As an oil painter, I am inspired by the relationships people share with the animals that enrich their lives. My work combines traditional oil painting techniques with a deep appreciation for the stories, companionship, and joy that pets bring to their families.
Each custom portrait is created with care and attention to the individual personality of our furry friends, preserving cherished memories in a work of art that can be enjoyed for generations. Whether you are celebrating a new companion, honoring a lifelong friend, or creating a meaningful gift, a custom portrait offers a lasting way to preserve the memories and connection that make your pet so special.
Whenever possible, I like to take my own photographs of your pet. This gives me the opportunity to spend time observing their personality, expressions, and unique presence firsthand. Together, we can then choose the reference photograph and composition that best captures what makes your companion special.
I also understand that sometimes the photographs you already have are the most meaningful references available. I am happy to work from existing photographs and welcome the opportunity to thoughtfully translate those treasured images into an original oil painting. Each reference presents its own unique challenges, and I enjoy finding creative ways to capture the character, expression, and spirit of your companion.
